CLUB RULES AND REGULATION |
|
|
A.
DRESS CODE
Members and guests must conform to the dress code of the
club. Casual attire within the clubhouse premises is
acceptable. However, proper golfing attire is required
at all times when playing. The following are strictly
prohibited while playing on the course:
- Jeans of any kind
- Short shorts, (tennis, jogging or hiking shorts)
- Shirts and T-Shirts with no collar
B. ENTRY TO & FROM THE GOLF COURSE, PARKING
The club is implementing the NO STICKER NO ENTRY POLICY.
Members who wish to pass through the main subdivision
gates without having to show their driver’s license or
ID should secure their car stickers from the Membership
Affairs Office, with a proof of ownership (LTO
Registration) of the vehicle, must be submitted prior to
its issuance. Otherwise, members and guests may be
required to show or leave their driver’s license at the
Guardhouse.
C. TOURNAMENTS
Members sponsored tournaments will be accommodated
anytime. Bookings should be made at least two (2) weeks
prior to the scheduled date of the tournament, through
the Golf Operations Department. Function Agreement and
other appropriate forms must be accomplished for
approval prior to the club’s confirmation.
D. GOLF CART RULES
Only a maximum of four (4) persons shall ride on a golf
cart. Golf cart users must adhere to the club’s cart
rules at all times.
The following rules should be observed at all times:
- Carts must be driven with care and prudence. Damage to
the golf cart will be the responsibility of the member
or guest with whom the cart has been issued to.
- Only adults may drive golf carts within the golf
course. Junior golfers shall only allowed to drive
together with an adult.
- Carts should always remain on cart paths and on roughs
at all times, when possible. Wet areas and other steep
embankments must be avoided.
- Golf carts are never permitted within 30 feet of the
greens and tees.
- The 90 degree rule shall be enforced at all times.
However, during rain storms CARTS MUST STAY ON CART
PATHS ONLY, or when a heavy rainstorm has occurred the
night prior to the playing day.
- Caddies and minors are not allowed to operate golf
carts. It is the presumption of the club that whenever
caddies or minors are allowed by the golfer or the
accompanying adult (in case of minors) to drive his
rented golf cart, any damage that the cart sustains
shall be responsibility of the member or guest under
whose name the cart has been issued.
- Golf carts are only allowed inside the golf course and
parking areas.
Members who wish to leave their carts under the custody
of the club shall be charged a monthly garage fee,
predetermined by the Board of Directors. The ‘garage
fee’ shall be billed together with the monthly dues.
E. CADDIES
Caddies are available at all times that Tee Off times
are allowed. Caddies may be requested from the Caddy
Station, and shall be assigned on a rotation basis in
the interest of fair economic opportunity to our caddy
pool. However individual caddies may be requested in
advance by calling or notifying our Golf Department, at
least 24 hours prior to your scheduled tee of time.
F. MEMBERS SPONSORED FUNCTIONS:
The clubhouse and other Club facilities are primarily
for the use and enjoyment of the general membership. Any
member sponsored parties, functions, events or
activities shall require the prior written request and
approval from the Club Management. These member
sponsored activities are encouraged to increase the
utilization of the Club’s facilities. Only members may
sponsor and host special parties, functions and
activities held at the club. All member sponsored
parties, functions, events and activities must be
catered solely by the Club. Furthermore, the sponsoring
member, or hosting member must assume and shall have
personal liability and responsibility for all
indebtedness incurred to the Club in connection
therewith.
G. GUESTS
Members of the club shall be entitled to entertain
guests, at the club, subject to such rules and
regulations, and guest fees that may be established by
the Club Management from time to time.
The host members shall be responsible for any acts,
actions of his guests within the premises of the Golf
Course, and its facilities. Furthermore, the host
members, shall indemnify the club for, any damage, or
suit arising from acts caused by his guest.
H. LOSS OR DAMAGE TO MEMBER’S OR GUEST’S PROPERTY.
Each member of the Club, as a condition of his or its
membership, and each guest, as a condition of his
invitation to the Club premises, assumes responsibility
of his property. Under no circumstances shall the club
be responsible for the loss or damage of property
belonging to the member, or members of their family, or
their guests, including automobiles parked in the Club
parking lots, nor clothing or valuables left therein, or
in locker rooms or elsewhere on the Club premises.
I. CHILDREN
Children of members and child guests of members, shall
be accorded almost every right, privilege and courtesy
that their parents or host members’ membership in the
Club, are entitled. However, dependents (unmarried
children below 25 yrs. of age) are obliged to obtain
Dependent’s ID Cards, issued by the Club. Furthermore,
unattended children under ten (10) years of age are not
permitted anywhere in the Club unless accompanied and
supervised by an adult.
J. OUTSIDE FOOD AND BEVERAGES
Member or guest are not allowed to bring into the club
premises or consume any food purchased outside the club
premises or consume any food purchased outside the club
except for other special dietary food.
Beverages may be brought into the premises and consumed
at the appropriately designated club facilities for such
purpose, however, the club will charges corkage fee
which is 50% of the club’s sale price of their similar
beverage.
K. CONTROLLED SUBSTANCES
The possession or use of any type of prohibited drugs or
other controlled substances is absolutely prohibited on
Club premises at all times; except only required to be
used or taken pursuant to the prescription of a
physician.
L. PASSPORT SYSTEM
The club is implementing the Passport System. Playing
members and guests are required to secure the passport
at the Golf Registration Counter prior to the start of
the game. All transactions entered into the passport
(fees, food and beverages, pro-shop items, etc.) must be
settled at the Check-out Counter at the end of the game
prior to the release of the player’s golf bag.
M. BILLING
Statements of members account are presented each month.
Membership dues and other charges are payable within 25
days of presentation of the statement by the Club’s
collection agent. An account is past due when payment is
not received prior to the next statement date. Members
whose accounts remain past due after notification are
subject to finance charges, posting, suspension and/or
expulsion in accordance with the provisions in the
club’s By-Laws and Policies of the Club.

- Golf Carts entering within the 30 feet radius of the
Green will be penalized with 2 strokes.
- Only Senior Golfers with the identifying yellow flags
on their golf carts may enter the Hole 4 fairway; the
rest shall be penalized with 2 strokes.
II - RULES OF PLAY
A. Relief Situations: Except in a hazard, relief without
penalty occurs when the ball, the player’s stance or the
area of his intended swing is affected by the following
(Rule 24-Obstructions):
1. All exposed water pipes, catch basins, sprinklers,
irrigation
boxes & drainage grills.
2. All constructed pathways with artificial surfaces,
tee houses &
pump houses.
3. Concrete bank tops (not in a hazard) defining water
hazards & bridge supports.
4. Permanent yardage markers on both sides of the
fairway.
B. Protection of Young Trees: If such a tree (marked by
blue stakes/paint/tape) interferes with the player’s
stance or intended area of swing, the ball must be
lifted without penalty & dropped within one club length
from the nearest point of relief but not nearer to the
hole. Ball may be cleaned when lifted.
C. Embedded Ball: A ball embedded in its own pitch mark
through the
green in the ground other than the bunker sand may be
lifted, cleaned &
dropped without penalty as near as possible to the spot
where it lay but
not nearer to the hole.
D. Twosomes shall be allowed on a case-to-case basis
depending on the
golf course traffic. Fivesomes will be allowed only on
weekdays but will
be limited to those using three(3) golf carts in each
flight.
E. Only Golfers, Caddies & Umbrella girls are allowed
inside the golf course.
F. Only Soft Spikes are allowed for play at all times.
All players must be in proper Golf Attire.
G. Beginners & Class D Players are discouraged to tee
off on Blue Tees during Weekends & Holidays.
H. Members must Tee Off & finish a minimum of 9 Holes
and submit their duly signed score cards. Those who fail
to submit shall automatically be given an even par
score.
III – PENALTY FOR BREACH OF LOCAL RULES
A. Lost of hole for match play.
B. Two strokes penalty for stroke play.
IV – DISTANCE MARKERS
A. Center of the Tee mount to the Center of Green.
B. Sprinkler heads to the center of green.
V – PACE OF PLAY
C. Each flight must adhere to the fifteen(15) minutes
allotted to play each hole.
D. Slow flights will be given a warning by the Marshals.
E. A second warning means that the succeeding flight
must be allowed to play through.
VI – DROPPING AREA
Balls landing at the hazard with unplayable lies in
Holes 13 & 14 have
designated Dropping Areas. At the Hole 4 right side
hazard, player may opt
to drop at the last point of entry.
VII – GOLF BALLS PURCHASES
The Club strongly recommends that players do not
purchase balls other than from the Pro-shop, to
discourage unauthorized collection of balls inside the
golf course. Unauthorized personnel selling golf balls
within the golf course premises shall be penalized
accordingly.
VIII – OPERATING HOURS
The Golf Course is open from 6:00 am to 3:00 pm Tuesdays
to Sundays. It is closed on Mondays, except when Mondays
fall on an official holiday, Good Friday, Christmas Day
and January 1.

All Golfers, Members and Guest alike, are duty bound to
observe & strictly follow the established rules of
Rancho Palos Verdes Golf & Country Club. The management
reserves the right to stop any Golfer from playing, if
he willfully disregards the Club’s rules & the standard
norm expected from a Gentleman/Lady Golfer. |
